drnasim Total Posts: 3 | Posted: Tue Sep 21, 2010 04:35 am i m sure that answer is 3.there is no question of physiotherapy at present.first we have to save the life from tetanus.we have to give active and passive immunisation for the tetanus, that means we hv to give tetanus toxoid and anti tetanus immunoglobulin(ATG).we hv to admit the case in icu and sooner or later there will be paralysis and respiratory muscles and laryngeal edema, and so,we hv to intubate and to give the ventilatory support. |

bashu Total Posts: 1 | Posted: Sun Nov 07, 2010 01:29 pm u dont need to give tetanus toxoid in a case of tetanus,,,,, as it is the culprit....so avoid 3... we need to secure the air way now or on cuming days...so plannig for intubation n ventilator can be done even tracheostomy can be planned....ICU is necessary for such patients and about physiotherapy i have no idea n hadnt read any where....but i think no need of physio.... |
