A) 300 mOsm/kg B) 306 mOsm/kg C) 312 mOsm/kg D) 318 mOsm/kg Answer given is B Thanks in advance Good Luck |
jemzcal Total Posts: 127 | Posted: Sat Oct 25, 2008 06:10 am just substitute in the formula for osmolality 2*Na+glucose(mg/dl) /18+BUN(mg/dl)/2.8 where 18 and 2.8 are their respective molecular weights so 250+6+50= 306 stick around residency 2009 |

jemzcal Total Posts: 127 | Posted: Sat Oct 25, 2008 03:58 pm answer for the first q is correct. B.fragilis is indeed the most frequent anaerobe isolated fron clinical samples. Its sensitivity to metronidazole is variable. C option is also correct. Bacteroides infection is generally mild and dont usually result in shock and/or DIC. I request netmedicos to look into the answer given for the next q. Adrenaline noradrenaline and dopamine are endogenous catecholamines. so ans=D |
