Q. CA 19-9 levels > 20 U/mL has 79% sensitivity and 79% specificity for the diagnosis of gallbladder cancer, CEA > 4 ng/mL is 93% specific but 50% sensitive for detecting the diagnosis of gallbladder cancer. So which is better ?

of course... CA19-9 is better .... as it can detect 79/100 pts...
where as CEA can detect only detect only 50% of the pt with disease...

moreover the Q is on detecting the disease.. no on confirmatory test..

any other views?
