dubspg Total Posts: 44 | Posted: Tue Oct 23, 2007 03:24 pm Q4 u r correct the answer shd be A Q 19 methadone is used for substitution therapy of opioid dependance also for methadone maintenanace rx where high doses of methadone orally r given so that pleasurable eefects of iv heroin or morphine r not perceived naltroxone is used for opioid blockade rx for post addicts and alcoholics. it is used orally to assist in rehabilitation of ex abusers who r fully withdrawn (free for 7-10 days) with both drugs kick or euphoria of heroin/morphine is not experienced bt naltroxone does not reduce craving, methadone does. |
