thesurgeon Total Posts: 13 | Posted: Fri Mar 16, 2007 12:43 am Mechanism: From what i can recall - Endometrial CA is dependent on Estrogen. Smoking reduces the Body Wt, leading to less fat, leading to less conversion of steriods to estrogens. As for thyroid cancer - Something related to above but exact mechanism not known. Note: Thyroid cancer is also more common in women. |
