ADMISSION NOTICE NO. 4/2010
ALL INDIA POST GRADUATE ENTRANCE EXAMINATION FOR ADMISSION UNDER 50% SEATS QUOTA IN MD/MS/DIPLOMA AND MDS COURSES IN MEDICAL & DENTAL COLLEGES
Applications are invited in the prescribed form for All India Post Graduate Medical / Dental Entrance Examination (AIPGMEE - 2011) to be conducted by All India Institute of Medical Sciences on Sunday, the 09th January, 2011 for admission under 50% seats quota in various Postgraduate (MD/MS/PG Diploma & MDS) courses in Medical and Dental Colleges in the country run by the Union of India, State Governments (except Government of Andhra Pradesh and J&K) and Municipal or other local authorities.
Eligibility Criteria:
(1) Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply.
(2) The candidate must possess MBSS/BDS degree from a recognised Medical / Dental College or a foreign degree included in the schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 AND full registration either from the Medical / Dental Council of India or State Medical / Dental Council after completing the compulsory rotating Internship.
(3) Candidates who have obtained MBBS / BDS from Medical / Dental Colleges in Andhra Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir are not eligible to apply. However, candidates who were nominated by the Government of India (Ministry of Health & Family Welfare / D.G.H.S., New Delhi) to do MBBS/ BDS from Medical/ Dental Colleges in Andhra Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir are eligible to apply, subject to submission of requisite documents specified in the Prospectus.
(4) The candidates should complete the required period of 12 months pre-registration internship from a recognised Hospital on or before 31st March, 2011.
The Prospectus is available on the website www.aiimsexams.org and must be read by the applicants before applying. The cost of Application-cum-Examination fee is Rs. 1000/- (Rs. 800/- in case of SC/ST Candidates)
Application Procedure:
A. Online Application: A candidate can submit application On-Line through Internet. Visit www.aiimsexams.org read the prospectus and other details carefully and follow the instructions given therein. The candidate can pay the application fee through a challan form (downloaded from internet while applying on-line) in any branch of State Bank of India. Transaction Processing Fee (as applicable) will be payable to the Bank.
B. Off-line Application: Prospectus-cum-Application Form can also be obtained BY POST by sending a crossed Bank Draft for Rs. 1050/- for General / OBC and Rs. 850/- for SC/ST Category, drawn in favour of the "ACCOUNTS OFFICER (EXAMS) AIPGMEE-2011". The Bank Draft should be payable at New Delhi and should be valid for six months (upto March/April, 2011). The request should reach the Assistant Controller of Examinations, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Ansari Nagar, New Delhi - 110 608 on or before 9th Nov 2010. The address at which Application Form is required should be written clearly in CAPITAL LETTERS and with PIN code. The following words should be written on top of the envelop:"REQUEST FOR APPLICATION FORM FOR AIPGMEE-2011". AIIMS will not be responsible for delay in/non-receipt of Application Form caused by illegible or incomplete address.
Prospectus can also be obtained by hand from the Reception Counter of Examination Section, AIIMS against Bank Draft for Rs. 1000/- for General / OBC and Rs. 800/- for SC / ST Category drawn in favour of the "ACCOUNTS OFFICER (EXAMS) AIPGMEE-2011" as specified above.
NB : Indian Postal Orders, Money orders, cheques or cash will NOT be accepted for postal / counter sale.
IMPORTANT DATES
1. Online Registration of Application on www.aiimsexams.org - 18.10.2010 to 16.11.2010
2. Offline sale of Application Forms (by post / by hand) - 18.10.2010 to 16.11.2010
3. Last Date for Applying Online Application - 16.11.2010 (upto 12.00 noon)
4. Last date for receipt of completed Registration Slips along with AIIMS copy of challan form / offline applications at Examination Section, AIIMS - 16.11.2010 (upto 5.00 pm)
Note: Those applying online must submit Counter Foil of the Challan Form meant for AIIMS in original along with downloaded copy of Registration Slip failing which candidature for the above entrance examination will not be considered and no correspondence in this regard will be entertained.
Note: Please Note that after the last date, applications received by courier or by any other means will not be accepted, irrespective of the date of booking.
