| sanju5 Total Posts: 138 | Posted: Thu Dec 06, 2007 06:09 am its 12.06 a.m., n i am too tired. just to record my progress - 14 hrs today with 1100 mcqs. 300 with explanation. kkrish - i am not giving pgi n dnb. pgi - not this time dnb - i do not want to waste 3 yrs studying something and then not being able to clear the final exam (you need lots of approach to pass dnb, that what i heard from my friends). i would better stick to aipge for 1 more year than doing dnb. that my personal opinion anyways. gnite. |

ANYHOW FIRST PREF ONLY PG.. take care read well |

| bhavu Total Posts: 41 | Posted: Mon Feb 18, 2008 04:56 pm guys i got 1236 rank this time.will atlast get what iwanted i.e. medicine and surgery.but it was a long journey and i think every body should be prepared particularly if you are average students like me.i was never brilliant in my ug days.was middle class student. completed internship in mid 2005.so was not eligible for 2005 aippg.so gave my first shot in 2006.not qualified.dropped one year in 2007 got something 2500+ rank was getting patho.not satisfied so dropped again.and finally got 1236 in aippg 2008.so forget 2008.and prepare for next.remember in almighty's court of law justice may be delayed but never denied.you will surely get what you deserve.only thing is persistance is the key.there will be huge phases of depressions.some times many blows on self respect like not earning anthing,your pals in other feild will get settled.but if you over come that and just do not bother about them and keep concetrating on studies.you will get through for sure. remember battel is never over until we loose.and until we have not lost there are huge possibilities of winning. |

| bhavu Total Posts: 41 | Posted: Tue Feb 19, 2008 02:02 am shaggy i think mk and aa is must plus read topics repeated so often from stadard textbooks like harrison,schwartz(bailey is use less for all india so either go with schwartz or sabiston),ganon/guyton,harper/lippincot. ( i am talking of repeat topics not whole theroy) as now you have done mk/aa keep revising them and prepare imp topics from text books. and concentrate on basic subject i mean first and second.because in final year subjects no body would be knowing difficult questions for sure.but in basics too difficult are never asked just prepare those subjects well and you will be ahead of many. |
| bhavu Total Posts: 41 | Posted: Tue Feb 19, 2008 02:20 am krish i can understand what you are feeling.i have gone through all this. now yeah there must be some cheaters and in this world (not only india) no system is full proof. but sad part is that we have to live with that. in all india let us assume 500 people come by unusal means.but rest 2500 are genuine that is for sure. so prepare as if there are 2500 seats only. repeat question should be prepared as if you can not answer a single repeat wrong.attempt maximally.give as much mock tests as possible. and most importantly believe in your self. try as far as you can.remember this phase is going to decide you life. you may fail but if you have tried enoug you will never regret. you will think "theek hai nahi hua lekin maine koshish puri ki"" it should not happen that at the age of 40 years you look back and think "kash ek bar aur try kari lee hoti to"" i believe in sarukh's dialogue in chalte chalte "aisa ho sakta hai ke woh muje na mile.lekin asia bhi hoy sakta hai ki mil jaye.main zindgi main kabhi kash nahi kehna chahta" so know your strenth.and if you feel you deserved better than go for it. and never bother the things we can not change.like curruption,luck,extra means,something extra etc etc. and yes one more important think if anybody decide to sit back one more year.cut down those socical contacts which can give you frustration.for example your friend who may have got through will endlessly talk about councelling,pg life,resident life etc etc.and which will give you endless depression and frustration so cut down those contacts.some time cutting down some contacts is very good for mental health. and lastly take a break of two to three days than decide what you want to do. if you decide to quit all these with fresh mind after this break than also nothing wrong in it.there are a lot of options even without pg dnb,pharma industries,management courses like biotechnology,nanotechnology. think about those.these feilds are grwoing like anythng explore those options.nothing wrong in that also. remember life is not only about pg entrance.so think with sound mind.what you want to do and work towards that. i am sure you will be successful.mark my words.you will be successful. |
